Ryan Young
(He/Him/His)
MTANS #06107
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Ryan has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2006. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to one principle: providing the right care for the person in front of him. That commitment has taken him across North America to study with leading clinicians from a wide range of disciplines, continually refining his skills while remaining grounded in the belief that great care begins with listening.
Ryan’s treatment approach is integrative and adapts to the needs of each individual on any given day. Rather than following a rigid technique or protocol, he considers the current state of the tissues, the nervous system, and the many biological, psychological, and social factors that influence recovery and performance. His goal is always to help patients move forward in a way that is meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with their goals.
Specifically, Ryan is not unnecessarily heavy-handed. He blends appropriate engagement the tissues with movement to remind the nervous system of how they are meant to cooperate through normal daily function. In many cases, Ryan has patients come wearing athletic attire, treating them while clothed.
Equally important to Ryan is helping patients better understand themselves. He believes education is a vital part of treatment and strives to ensure every session leaves patients with greater confidence, clarity, and practical strategies they can use outside the clinic. By fostering collaboration and empowering patients to take an active role in their care, he aims to create lasting results—not just temporary relief.
Known for his thoughtful, collaborative style, Ryan values humility, curiosity, and continual learning. He holds himself to a high standard while recognizing that the best outcomes come from working alongside patients and other healthcare professionals. Above all, he genuinely enjoys what he does and considers it a privilege to be trusted with the care of others.
Outside the clinic, Ryan enjoys the busy adventure of family life and spending as much time outdoors as possible with his family.
